I have my new weapons... I have just been trying to get the void crystals for the mongoose enchants I believe that I am only 3 away and then I can get it and try it out. I have been working on getting my hit rating up... just hard to get good gear to drop for me... I've known for quite awhile that my dps could go higher because of my miss attacks. This is great info and really appreciate the outside opinions.

your hit rating is fine atrestra. you've got 9% from talents, which means that windfury, and stormstrike will always hit (unless it's a dodge/parry.) basically all you really need gear-wise is some nice weapons (the badge fist weapons are ugly as shit, but awesome for dps) and then just work on your AP/crit. As far as the rest of your gear (except the daggers =P) you're geared appropriately for KZ/gruuls/mags. here's an awesome writeup for enhancement shamans that'll explain things better than I can. Thanks! I have been neglecting my Shaman more than I should have been lately and putting more focus on my pally. I have Big Bad Wolf's Paw and the Off hand Fist weapon from badges. I'm saving up my badges now for the main hand from badges. I'll get mongoose on them the next time I'm on and work on getting exalted with scryers to get the shoulder enchant to increase attack power. Thanks again, this thread should help out a lot of our team.

So, you mentioned downgrading heal spells. I used to do this back in the day with my shaman in BWL. But then they came out with some patch that messed that up. Now I'm back and lots has changed since then, so my question is how does the downgrading healing spells work now? Is there a site that explains it and what is the best to use?

holy priest infosif you scroll down a page or two, you'll see info on down ranking for priests. from what I've seen, resto shamans will down rank Chain heal 1 step, and Greater Healing Wave, down one or two steps depending on how much +heal, and +mp5 they have, as well as if they're the only healer. Paladins usually just end up chain casting Flash of Light because it's so incredible mana efficient, and then down ranking their big heal a step or two if their target is falling a bit low.

Our tanks well warrior tanks need to hit 20% dodge, 20% parry, and 25% Block. along with 14,000 armor and Health unbuffed. So replace any +AP and +crit items with +stam, +dodge, and +defense *note, Defense over 490 will still give you +parry and Dodge but 490 is the effective cap for Critical Hit immunity against a raid boss. *not crushing blows that just happens.... At L70 you need 14.75 of defense rating to get 0.25% increases to each of miss/dodge/parry and block. www.wowwiki.com/Defence#Changes_in_patch_2.0

Having a resilience rating of 220.64 will give you Critical Hit immunity from raid bosses as well, but for a main tank the added benefit of +dodge and +parry from Defense is the optimal way to go. melee DPS with a 220.64 rating and at the +hit cap would do alot of damage and won't get hit as hard from melee attack. This does not apply to casters as resilience gear sucks for mana regen.
Correct any of my above post roach, I am just a noob huntard.

you are correct b0lg. season 1 gear (soon to be season 2 gear if the patch happens today) can be scored through just honor grinding, but it is generally not as good as the equivalent pve gear. s1 enhance shaman gear has less ap/crit/hit than t4 gear, to make room for increased stamina, and resilience. PvP gear is a great substitute to have until you can get the PVE version for DPS and healers. Tanks can have a piece or two (feral druids do really well with pvp purples for tanking as they can't parry, or block) but warriors and paladins need true tank gear to achieve crit and crush immunity.
In general for raiding, PVE purple > PVP purple > pve blues > pvp blues > greens.
my main char is a druid, was feral up until we had KZ on farm status and started in on gruuls/mags/ssc. at that point I went Balance, and had shitty gear, so i did some honor grinding, and arenas to pick up some season 1/3 gear to help get me up to par, and then I slowly replaced the pvp gear with pve. Nothing wrong with that at all.
Now that I think about it, all 3 of my characters have some pvp gear on to replace blues. Weapons are generally the biggest upgrades you can get from pvp for use in pve. the s1 spell dmg gear is far better than any purples you can get out of heroics, and really close to being on par with kz weapons. All it takes is some honor grinding. From my time in Blunt Logic, i have found that there are few more entertaining things in the game, than going into a BG, or camping the tram, with a bunch of friends, and griefing allies, and it gets you honor/gear! whee!

jack check out this link as a druid tank you can swap 60 defense rating for 39.4 resilience rating + 29.4 agi. Which seem like a better idea as agi will give you more armor and AP as well! I think we came to this conclusion over vent, just thought I post proof.

I respec'd to fire and have noticed a good increase in my damage output. Also, spell hit is up to 155, replacing another gem should take care of that. Other than that I'll work on the spellcloth for my spellstrike pants (along with my spellfire set) and then I can start to replace some of my gems slowly with the spell haste and damage. Hopefully it'll help out. I'd like to see what difference I show in our next kara run as it is. /crosses her fingers that she isn't such a newb.
