So I think everyone knows that Rancid is my favorite band. At work today this song came on my random playlist and reminded me how much I like them. And then it made me wonder what everyone else's favorite bands are. So here is a thread to share the bands you like to stick in your ear holes. Bonus Round: Rancid is followed very closely by U2 for me.

I think I have a few that I like more than others, I listen to so much music its hard for me to pick just one or 2... From the 80's: Depeche Mode (and the 90's). From the 90's: Tonic. From the 2000's: Seven Dust. And I'm really digging this new band: Mumford and Son's.

LOL @ Tonic. I remember seeing them at SUU.
P.S. I put a Tonic link in your post, sorry if it isn't your favorite song. I just remember that one the most.

Yeah, I remember being so stoked to go to that show! I was on power 91 at the time so I got in to it for free, and briefly got to meet them back stage! /tear

Collective Soul. Seen them many times. Kat and I were able to hang out with them and they signed my first iPod. Good stuff.

It's hard for me to say I have a "favorite band" I have many that I really like. Dashboard Confessional, Dave Matthews Band, Counting Crows, Third Eye Blind, Green Day... just to name a few. I really like Collective Soul too!

I've been struggling with finding new music for quite a while now. It seems nothing good has come out for years.
And I don't really like going back to music I loved in years past, that's just me. .. So I'm currently pretty empty in the music dept. Talk radio and podcasts like buzz out loud and some revision 3 show own my commute atm.

you know, I was thinking the same thing the other day. I was on Itunes looking over new music and I really didn't have that connection with anything new... I feel like I turned into my dad... I remember walking in to the Garage and having Led Zeppelin blaring... I used to make fun of him for it, he never even gave the music of the time a chance... now I'm feeling the same way... strange how history seems to repeat itself...
