PS: Nice passive aggressive-ism there Jack. For the record, that was intended as a joke. Heavy-handed, maybe even ham-fisted, but a joke. Still, I really don't at this point really believe what they said in that link about 50+% of the web's video being in HTML5.

blogs.adobe.com/jd/2011/01/video-debate-cutting-to-the-chase.htmlYou can almost hear the champagne bottles poping in the background over Google's decision to drop h.264 from their browser. The love affair between Google and the closed, buggy, battery sucking piece of crap that is flash has finally cemented in my mind how I will write my web pages in the future. "Video publishers need the VIDEO tag for one purpose only: to support Appleās non-standard HTML browser and its denial of third-party extensibility via APPLET, OBJECT, and EMBED." -- Adobe actually believes that the html5 video tags only purpose was for Apple browsers. How naive. And then in Google's own Q&A "Q: Does this mean I will no longer be able to play H.264 videos in Chrome? H.264 plays an important role in video and the vast majority of the H.264 videos on the web today are viewed in plug-ins such as Flash and Silverlight. These plug-ins are and will continue to be supported in Chrome." In other words, "We understand that H.264 is better and more stable then webm but don't worry, our whore girlfriend wrote this really great software called flash that will play it for you. We know your battery will suck and you better stay on top of updates less you get a virus but trust us. We are not evil" I'm a bit bitter but I just spent a week fixing 200 websites that are all 100% w3 standard compliant because the latest version of Chrome thinks they know better. Apple is definitely the better web company.
